Preparing for the Reopen of Your Building
Facility and building managers may be ready for teams to fully return to office but are they really ready? Here’s a few ideas to make the return to office experience better for your team.
WELCOME BACK GIFT
During this time away, many employees have proven that they can continue successfully doing their job while not physically in-office so the onus falls to the company to show how appreciated their return to the office building is. A great and easy way to do this is with a care basket for each employee. A DEEP CLEAN
Ideally the buildings have been kept clean while employees were out of office and eventually moving to a hybrid schedule but, before asking employees back full-time, a deep clean of the office and common spaces is great. Firstly, this shows your team that the reason for being away from the office (to prevent the spread of Covid-19 & Illness) was taken seriously and you’re committed to keeping a clean and safe environment going forward. Secondly, it works a lot like “spring cleaning” – it’s a tidy reset to one’s space and improves focus and mood.
A deep clean of your office building can be done with a commercial cleaning service or your in-house janitorial department if they’ve been given the proper training to do so. Some products you may find useful for this extensive clean include disinfectants, glass cleaner, floor finish, and baseboard strippers.

Daycon® Baseboard Stripper

This heavy-duty foaming product is designed to clean and remove excess dirt and floor finish where floor machines cannot reach. The thick, penetrating foam clings to vertical surfaces like baseboards for easy removal of wax and dirt buildup which are quickly emulsified by chemical action for easy removal.
